Liverpool assistant manager Željko Buvač has been tipped to become the new manager of Turkish side Fenerbache with David Moyes also linked.
At the end of April, it was surprisingly revealed that Željko Buvač had left Liverpool and although it is still unclear what the cause of his absence was, he is yet to return to his post alongside Jürgen Klopp.
Buvač, who is still contracted by Liverpool, is thought to have left the club due to “personal reasons” although there have been suggestions that he took his leave as a result of a disagreement with Klopp.
The pair worked together for 17 years and it came as a massive surprise to see the gaffer apart from Buvač.
According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Buvač is one of the “leading contenders to become Fenerbahce’s new manager.”
David Moyes is also in the running and is viewed as being the favourite and apparently, former Liverpool sporting director David Comolli has met with the Scot recently over a move to Turkey.
Fenerbahce fans are not “enthused” about Moyes taking over while there are doubts over whether or not Buvač can make the step up from assistant manager.
