Reports in France claim that Sadio Mané had agreed to join Real Madrid before Zinedine Zidane had announced his resignation.
It would seem as though Real Madrid want every person of value at Liverpool. First, Mo Salah was linked with a move to the Spanish capital after his incredible debut season on Merseyside.
Scoring 44 goals in all competitions, Salah has well and truly placed himself in a higher bracket than he has ever been before.
After Zizou announced his resignation, Jürgen Klopp was one of a handful of managers tipped to take the job but having said in the past he would like to retire at Liverpool, it doesn’t seem as though he will be Los Blancos’ new head coach.
And now, most recently, Sadio Mané has been linked with a move to Madrid after France Football reported the Senegal attacker had an agreement in principle to join the 13-time Champions League winners.
The report says that Mané had an agreement in principle with Real before the surprising announcement that Zidane was resigning just days after winning his third successive Champions League title as a manager.
Mané is apparently desired ahead of Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and David De Gea and believed to be the key to overcoming Barcelona in La Liga. For all Madrid’s success in Europe, they have yet to find the same success domestically.
While Zidane’s departure has complicated matters somewhat, Mané is apparently still keen on a move after impressing in the Champions League final as he looked to make Mohamed Salah’s injury-enforced absence count for little.
There is zero chance that Liverpool will sell Mané this summer after the season he had, scoring 20 goals and creating 9 for teammates.
One word from @LFC to describe suggestions Sadio Mane is off to Real Madrid. Nonsense. He has three years left on his contract and there is not a single circumstance where he will be allowed to leave.

There you have it. Liverpool themselves have ruled out any chance of Mané moving to Spain this summer.
