Agent Ze Maria Neis has denied that Real Madrid have agreed a deal with AS Roma for the transfer of his client Alisson Becker.
The summer transfer window is quite difficult to keep up with at times, which is why you may have missed Brazil legend Cafu saying that Alisson Becker to Real Madrid is a done deal.
His comments, filmed and posted on Twitter, went viral and sparked concern among Liverpool fans.
Alisson’s agent, Ze Maria Neis, has come out to rubbish the claim from the 47-year-old and insists a deal has not been agreed with any club as yet.
Speaking to forzaroma.info, Ze Maria Neis said: “The idea he already has an agreement with Real Madrid is completely false.
“I don’t see how Cafu could know more than I do on the matter.
When asked about negotiations with Roma about extending Alisson’s contract, his agent replied: “I haven’t yet spoken to Monchi or anyone else.”
Roma want £79 million for Alisson and Liverpool and Real Madrid are both keen on signing the 25-year-old to address weaknesses at the back.
Jan Oblak is also linked with the Reds as reports in Spain indicate that Atletico Madrid expect either Liverpool or Arsenal to sign their Slovenian ‘keeper.
