Gallery: Alberto Moreno returns to training ahead of Manchester City clash

Alberto Moreno returned to training on Wednesday after a nine-game layoff and will soon be available for selection for Jurgen Klopp.

The Spanish left back has been absent from action for Liverpool since he got injured against Spartak Moscow in December. Moreno left the pitch in tears and it was clear to all just how much playing for the club means to him.

After being left on the sidelines last season by Jurgen Klopp, Moreno fought his way back into the German’s plans and has been in fine form this season – even if Andy Robertson has been hugely impressive in his place in the last month.

Moreno will be unavailable for Klopp this weekend as the Reds play host to league-leaders Manchester City at Anfield.
