On day two of their training camp in Bavaria, Liverpool’s players opted for a more natural approach to cooling down with a swim in Lake Tegernsee.
We were treated to clips of Liverpool training yesterday, with Pep Lijnders explaining that the Reds were working on their speed in transition in Bavaria.
A unique 11 v 11 drill was geared towards getting the Liverpool players used to attacking at pace and then dropping back into defence equally quickly.
Lijnders said, “You can reach a lot with dedicated specific training. It’s about creating a situation where all players work on a specific concentration and this creates the essential intensity during pre-season.
“We will need to be prepared to try and play the best counter-pressing game in the league.”
After what was a gruelling session, Liverpool opted to take a more natural cool down by taking a dip in Lake Tegernsee.
Jürgen Klopp and his staff couldn’t have done much better to find a more scenic training camp and it would seem as though they’re getting the full package!
Today, Klopp is putting his players through three training sessions in order to make sure they are in the best possible condition going into the new season.
