Liverpool flew out to Germany today for their training camp as they prepare for three friendlies in the next week. Jürgen Klopp’s side will take on Hertha Berlin on Saturday but first, they have a few training sessions with the first of these coming today.
According to Liverpool’s official website, Loris Karius and Danny Ward will sit out of today’s training session as the German has a sore hip and the Welshman has a sore back.
The announcement on Liverpoolfc.com makes it clear that neither issue is long term and both are still expected to feature during the Reds’ stay in Germany.
This morning, Liverpool named the 30-man squad that has travelled to Germany for pre-season preparations and many will be elated to see that Sadio Mané is among those to have jetted off to Munich.
The Senegal attacker has successfully recovered from a horrible knee injury which required surgery back in April and will soon take his place up front alongside new signing Mohamed Salah.
Many supporters have speculated about what having Mané up front with Salah will mean for Liverpool and it can only mean one thing: goals, goals and more surely more goals.
We’ll soon find out with Liverpool taking on Hertha Berlin on Saturday before Bayern Munich host the Reds next week Tuesday.
