Liverpool have signed Andy Robertson from Hull City and have released some cracking images of the fullback on their official website.
A new left back has been in need at Liverpool for over a year now and the issue has finally been addressed with the Scottish international set to provide competition to James Milner.
Upon sealing his move, Robertson spoke of his happiness to have signed from Hull, saying: “It feels a wee bit surreal just now. Obviously, I’m delighted. There’s been a lot of speculation over the last couple of weeks but I’m glad that the deal’s finally been done and I’m a Liverpool player.”
Jürgen Klopp also spoke of his admiration of Robertson, with the German commenting: “For Andrew, this is another big step in what has been a quite incredible personal journey in a very short space of time.”
Liverpool haven’t had a defensively sound left back for years and hopefully the Scot can bring some security to the Reds’ backline in ways that Moreno hasn’t and Milner won’t be able to for much longer as he grows older.
