Liverpool Football Club’s official YouTube channel offers interesting insight into the goings on at the club and their latest upload shares a behind the scenes look at pre-season training down at Melwood.

On Wednesday, a 22-man squad returned to Melwood for pre-season training as Jürgen Klopp gets his side ready for the 2017/17 season.

The first day back at Melwood was a day of medical assessment in order to ensure all players returned from their summer break without any injuries or fitness issues.

The players did head out to the training pitches but only for an endurance test, as club doctors took blood from each player’s ear as part of the lactate test.

Since Wednesday, more players have arrived back at Melwood and some for the first time. Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke have checked in at the club’s training ground and will likely take part in Liverpool’s domestic friendlies against Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic.
