Mohamed Salah seems like he is close to signing for Liverpool Football Club and his agent is back in the U.K, with fan speculating about a cryptic Instagram post.
Yes, Liverpool supporters are getting desperate. After interest in Virgil van Dijk was dropped due to a report from Southampton to the Premier League over a “tapping up” claim, the mood within the fan base has soured.
The 2016/17 season ended brilliantly with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough and a place in the top four being secured ahead of Arsenal. Since then, transfer rumours have been ever-present as Jürgen Klopp plans to bolster his squad with a few signings.
The German manager’s intention to bring in new players hasn’t exactly gone to plan though, and as such, supporters are now clutching at straws.
Mohamed Salah is one of Liverpool’s primary targets and it looks increasingly likely that the Egyptian winger will sign for the Reds.
A fee is yet to be agreed upon with Roma as the Serie A club is said to be looking for between £35 and £40 million. So far, Liverpool have only offered £28 million which was rejected but the belief remains that a fee will eventually be agreed upon.
Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards and Roma’s Monchi continue to discuss the matter of a fee but supporters have become fixated with Mohamed Salah’s agent’s Instagram account. Ramy Abass Issa posted a picture yesterday of him in London and it could be that he is meeting with Liverpool’s representatives at Liverpool’s offices in the capital.

Of course, as with Mahmoud Dahoud last season on Instagram, it could mean very little. Liverpool supporters got excited when the German footballer started following Liverpool and liking Liverpool players’ photos.
At the end of the day, nothing is concrete until an official announcement is released with many fans on social media sprouting the old favourite: “I’m not getting excited until I see the Melwood lean.”
Although Salah’s agent’s Instagram activity is nothing to go by, it would seem as though an agreement will be made with Roma very soon and reason stands to suggest that Mohamed Salah will be a Liverpool player next season.
