Liverpool trained at Melwood today ahead of a Premier League clash with Burnley at the weekend and Dejan Lovren was in attendance as he works his way to full fitness.
The week after a win in the Premier League is always the best as there is no overshadowing feeling that the world is going to end. This is one such week after Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday courtesy of goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Of course, that win will mean very little if the lads are unable to build on it with a win over Burnley on Sunday when the Clarets visit Anfield.
The last time Liverpool beat Arsenal, they followed it up with a loss to Burnley a week later. Jürgen Klopp will be encouraging his players to avoid this as winning is imperative if Liverpool want to maintain any hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Just judging by the training pictures released by the club, the players are in good knick which bodes well. Let’s hope their mood translates into good form and three points this weekend!
