Philippe Coutinho scored a trademark long-range goal against Argentina in a World Cup Qualifier.
Many fans despise the international break and it’s understandable why. The break for players to join up with their national teams for often pointless friendliess is viewed as a boring and disruptive fixture in the football calendar year.
With Liverpool in fine fettle and sitting at the top of the Premier League tree, many Reds fans are upset about yet another international break. Managers and fans alike often fear their best players getting injured like Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Chelsea’s Diego Costa.
While the international break certainly has its drawbacks there are moments when the break from domestic football can be appreciated. One such example of this would be Philippe Coutinho’s brilliant goal against Argentina in their World Cup Qualifier.
The Brazilian has become well known for hitting sumptous strikes from long-range with goals against Manchester City, Southampton and Arsenal ranking as some of his best from distance. That being said, his thunderbolt last night is certainly up there with some of his best.
