Ragnar Klavan has revealed that he “got goosebumps” when he was exposed to Anfield’s incredible atmosphere.
For every single Liverpool supporter that has been privileged enough to visit Anfield on matchday, there is a spine-tingling goosebump moment that cannot be properly described as the experience is genuinely beyond words.
New signing Ragnar Klavan experienced this moment and said that he “got goosebumps.” The former Augsburg defender scored his first goal for the club in a dominant display over Derby County in the EFL Cup last week.
He told Liverpoolfc.com about scoring for the club and about his first Anfield experience.
“It was something special in my life again. Scoring a goal is always nice because as a defender it does not happen so much. You could see it in my celebration, it wasn’t so brilliant,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

The Estonian has recently experienced this “goosebump” moment and has revealed how it went down.
“Then I moved on and had my first game at Anfield and that was something amazing because two weeks before when I was on the bench during my first time at Anfield (against Leicester), I had goosebumps. So to then go onto the field and play for this amazing crowd made it a good week.”
Liverpool has been brilliant in the opening 6 games of the season (besides the calamity that was Burnley away) and this is really just a continuation of what was begun in pre-season. With 16 goals scored in the Premier League, the Reds are the second highest scoring team in the league.
Klavan feels as though pre-season was the perfect foundation for “building something good and strong.”
“When I first joined and went with the team to America when we had the training camp and pre-season there, you could already see what the coaches want and the motivation level of the players. You just got the feeling we were building something good and strong.
“The new stand is something of beauty at Anfield. We’ve had two home games this season and they’ve been really, really good ones. The fans have been fantastic and I hope it continues the same way throughout the season.”
