Despite being criticised for their start to the season, you could argue that Liverpool has made a very good start to the 2016/16 Premier League campaign.
The reason that Jurgen Klopp’s side has come under scrutiny is because, yet again, an inability to beat the smaller sides has been exposed. Just six days after putting four past Arsenal, Liverpool drew blanks against Sean Dyche’s resolute Burnley side.
You could easily argue that has been Liverpool’s only poor display. Having played Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester and Chelsea, the level of performance displayed has been up there with the best.
There have been some outstanding performers for Liverpool so far this season and without them, Liverpool, perhaps, would not have done as well as they have. Naturally, names like Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino spring to mind, but they are merely the players who produce the magic.
