Joe Allen has revealed why he left Liverpool, saying that a lack of game time fueled his move to Stoke City.
Despite enjoying a particularly good run of form in a red shirt last season, Joe Allen was never first choice under Jurgen Klopp and had to be content with sporadic league and cup appearances.
The Welshman’s displays at the Euros in France speak to the level of quality that he has in the right team and completed a move to Stoke City in the summer.
The former Swansea midfielder has said that the promise of regular game time was too much too turn down, according to the BBC.
“I think it had come to the point where I needed to move on,” Allen said.

“Hopefully I will get much more game time now and I think that is going to be really important for me in my international career as well.”
