Jurgen Klopp was so concerned about Sadio Mane’s rumoured injury that he called the winger personally to check in on him.
It would seem as though Klopp follows a few of Liverpool’s paranoid fans on Twitter and bought into the hysteria when rumours broke that the club’s 36 million pound signing was injured.
However, Klopp has access to levels of assurance that we don’t as he just rung Sadio up and asked if he was alright. According to Empire of the Kop, Klopp’s concern was such that he couldn’t stand waiting until the forward reported for training.
The forward reported for training yesterday, unscathed, and is expected to feature against Leicester this weekend.
According to Lucas Leiva, there isn’t reason to rely on just one player due to the depth in quality that the club has.’
“I think it’s clear that we have very good players in every single position – and not just one good player, I would say we have two teams you could put out to get you results,” the Brazilian told Liverpoolfc.com.
“Of course the Premier League is very difficult, but I think the squad we have, with the new players who have made us stronger – hopefully, it’s going to be a very good season for the club.”
