During an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia, Sadio Mane was substituted as a precaution due to the winger being tired.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, just about every Liverpool fan online went into meltdown. The Senegalese winger is very important to the Red’s attack and fans know this.

Liverpool fans overreacting, again

This is where Liverpool’s recent transfer window will come undone. Klopp bought seven players this summer, four of which are first team quality. However, Mane was the only signing that contributes in the final third, and with him injured it would leave Liverpool lacking in pace.

When Mane was out for the Burnley game, the Reds struggled hugely with penetration and found themselves losing 2-0 to a newly-promoted team.

The former-Southampton man offers pace and running in behind the opposition, but if Mane got injured there isn’t anyone else at Liverpool who offers the same speed in attack.
