Liverpool will reportedly reopen transfer tabs on Mahmoud Dahoud and Christian Pulisic after missing out on the pair in the summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach were both unwilling to allow their prized assets to leave in the summer transfer window.

According to the Liverpool Echo, both Pulisic and Dahoud will be monitored this season and that Liverpool is hoping that next season Dortmund and Gladbach will be willing to sell.

Dahoud is Gladbach’s star midfielder, and after Granit Xhaka’s departure to Arsenal would fetch a fee of around £25 million in the future, whereas Pulisic would cost up to £11 million.

There was a lot of disappointment when Liverpool missed out on Dahoud but it will be easier to sign the German next season as he will only have 12 months left on his contract with the Bundesliga club.
