Mamadou Sakho will not be leaving Liverpool before the 11pm deadline transfer window cut-off time this evening, according to reports.
It should come as no surprise that Mamadou Sakho is still a Liverpool player, and will still be tomorrow. After repeatedly rejecting loan moves to Premier League clubs, it became clear that the Frenchman had no intention of leaving the club.
According to L’Equipe, the Frenchman will stay on Merseyside after he dismissed Klopp’s suggestion that he should go out on loan to play regularly. The Daily Mail‘s Dominic King has said that Sakho will not make a loan move today, despite being told by Klopp that he won’t play this season.
This season will be even more interesting now, as it has the added dynamic of how Sakho’s drama will play out. The Frenchman will be unlikely to feature anytime soon, if at all, but will be hoping to impress on the training ground.
