A source close to ESPN FC has claimed that as many as eight approaches have been made for Danny Ings in the last month.

Danny Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley last season, but suffered an ACL injury which ruled him out of action for most of last season. The Englishman has only made one competitive appearance under Jurgen Klopp so far, appearing at the end of last season against West Brom.

Eight clubs have expressed an interest in signing Ings with the forward receiving limited game time. According to ESPN’s source, an unnamed club were willing to pay in excess of £20 million to acquire Danny Ings’ services.

Klopp wants Ings in his team and is adamant that he has a future at Liverpool.

“We’re counting on Ingsy. He is a fantastic boy,” Klopp said earlier this month. “He was injured since October last year and he needed time. Now he’s getting better and better.”
