Liverpool currently has 10 players out on loan, despite Jurgen Klopp’s aversion to loaning out young stars, and here we take a look how some our loanees have done.
The immediate highlight was the goal that Ryan Kent scored for Barnsley against Rotherham on the weekend, but it was also a successful day for Danny Ward who kept a clean sheet for Huddersfield in a 1-0 win.
Elsewhere, Jack Dunn and Sam Hart featured in wins for Morecambe and Port Vale respectively. Adam Bogdan suffered a 1-0 defeat in goal for Wigan Athletic, while Ryan Fulton’s Chesterfield lost 3-1.
Ryan Kent will be buzzing with the cracker he scored; the goal came after a tidy one-two with Connor Hourihane. The young winger sent superb a curling effort into the top-right corner of the net before being smothered by teammates.
It’s pleasing to see Ward doing well as he was a player that I wanted to feature a little bit more for Liverpool’s first team this season.
