If reports are to be believed, Liverpool has made a late £30 million bid for Gremio forward Luan Viera.
Yes, I know. Liverpool already has two Brazilian attacking midfielders, but it seems as though FSG’s prerogative is to stuff three or four Brazilian attacking midfielders into the hole that is left-back.
All jokes aside, radio station Futebol de Gaucha (via the Telegraph), are reporting that Liverpool has made an offer for Gremio’s Luan Viera. The offer is said to be in the region of £30 million, close to what was paid for Roberto Firmino.
Last week, Gremio vice-president Alberto Guerra said that the club would consider any offer that comes in before the Wednesday:
“Every good player is targeted. If a proposal arrives, we will analyse,” he stated.
Luan was part of Brazil’s Olympic team that won gold, but there aren’t any authoritative figures linking the Brazilian with a move to Liverpool. What we need is James Pearce to come out and have his say on the matter. For the time being, let’s pretend that we’re going to sign another brilliant forward, shall we?
