Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, Nathaniel Clyne and Daniel Sturridge have all been called up to the England national team for the upcoming international break.

Liverpool tends to be a big supplier for England’s national team, and all of the aforementioned players were at the Euros wth the Three Lions at the end of the 2015/16 season. They will meet up with new England manager, Sam Allardyce, ahead of this next week’s World Cup qualifiers.

With the international break, very few people are actually bothered about the football, but are more concerned about their favourite club’s best players staying fit. This will certainly be the case with Liverpool, especially with Daniel Sturridge. The former Chelsea striker has a terrible history with injuries, especially when training under former England boss Roy Hodgson.

The international break will allow Liverpool and Spurs’ England players to meet up and have a catch-up after the rigours of their intense Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane on the weekend. Danny Rose was particularly vocal about leaving friendship on the sidelines for 90 minutes. He and Sadio Mane were particularly feisty, with both guilty of late tackles after their first yellow card.
