The Liverpool squad trained this afternoon at Melwood and were in high spirits ahead of an important fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

The lads look really happy in all the training pictures which is really indicative of the tight-knit squad that Jürgen Klopp is striving to foster. The likes of the Manchester clubs and Chelsea do very well to consistently buy the world’s best footballers, but what is a lot more difficult to do is to build a team from scratch using arguably lesser players who work well together. Individuals fail to impress all the time but team work is reliable.

It’s good to see Divock Origi in training after Klopp mentioned that he is a doubt to face Spurs. With that in mind, I couldn’t spot Emre Can in any of the pictures which might not necessarily mean anything but his ankle injury could have kept him from training this afternoon.

What I find most satisfying, after all the garbage being written about his attitude, is how happy Daniel Sturridge looked out there with his teammates. When it comes down to it, Sturridge lives and breathes Liverpool and I am sure he hates to read the way his words are skewed by the view-oriented media.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ve probably skipped the text to look at the pictures of the lads at training so, here you go:
