David Moyes has rejected the chance to sign Mamadou Sakho on loan according to the Daily Mail.

It was revealed yesterday that Mamadou Sakho could be sent out on loan to keep fit as he is unlikely to see much game time at Liverpool at this point in time.

Liverpool’s French centre-back has suffered a turbulent 2016 after he missed both the Europa League final and Euro 2016 campaign due to a positive random drugs test last season. Despite the charges being cleared, Sakho’s career hasn’t settled down yet.

Klopp sent Sakho home from the club’s pre-season tour of the US due to inappropriate behaviour and has since been unable to break into his manager’s plans. Subsequently, it was revealed yesterday that Klopp is open to loaning Sakho out with it thought that Liverpool have enough centre-halves to deal with the domestic football that the Reds face this season.

As it turns out David Moyes has turned down the opportunity to sign Sakho as he favours Papy Djilobodji on the left side of defence.
