Liverpool’s photographers, John and Andrew Powell were at Melwood training ground to take some photos of the lads ahead of the Reds’ first EFL Cup game of the season.
Tonight will be the first chance for Jürgen Klopp’s men to have another stab at the EFL Cup, formerly known as the Capital One Cup and the Football League Cup, after being defeated by Manchester City in the final last season.
However, just judging from the pictures, the Reds look focused but relaxed ahead – not that Burton Albion is a huge challenge. That being said, Burnley shouldn’t have been much of a challenge either.
Liverpool will be looking to use the game tonight as a way to get ready for Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. Good news is that Sadio Mané has returned to training which will come as a boost.
