The Express is reporting that James Milner has torn a muscle in his foot but remarkably has not been ruled out of Liverpool’s game against Arsenal at the weekend.

Milner sustained the injury in the very beginning of Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Barcelona and after undergoing a scan it has been determined that the issue is not serious.

How can a muscle tear not be serious, I hear you ask? To be honest I do not know but the Express report that if the Englishman doesn’t make the trip to London then he will definitely be fit for the game against Burnley next week.

Liverpool’s makeshift left-back has just retired from international football and if he is indeed fit it is unlikely that Klopp will delve into the transfer market for a recognized fullback.

Perhaps the only consolation ahead of the clash with Arsenal is that the Gunners are suffering with injuries as well. Not surprising, really. Gabriel suffered injury during a friendly against Manchester City in Sweden and had to be stretchered off in the dying minutes off the game – there is no return date for the Brazilian.

Just like Daniel Sturridge, Jack Wilshere’s infamous injury problems have begun yet again this season. Both sides will be without a fair share of their players for the clash with Wenger mentioning that Ozil, Giroud and Koscielny won’t be available. Not to mention Per Mertesacker who has a long term injury.
