The 2016/17 Premier League season has been eagerly awaited almost since the minute the 2015/16 season ended. Having the Euros to watch during the off-season alleviated our depression somewhat but we can all agree there is nothing like the Premier League. I am pleased to say that this weekend we can get our fix after suffering withdrawal symptoms for 2 and a half months.

Liverpool kick off their Premier League season against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday in what promises to be an exciting and nerve-racking opening to the campaign. On paper the Gunners would be favourites given that they’ve won 5 out of the last 10 games between the two. However, as we know head-to-head stats rarely directly indicate a result.

Liverpool is a different beast under Jürgen Klopp and if Arsene Wenger is wise he will be wary of what is to come on Sunday. Here are 3 reasons why Liverpool will leave London with three points on the weekend:
