Mamadou Sakho won’t join Roma this summer according to his agent after mass uncertainty over his future.

Jürgen Klopp sent Sakho home to Liverpool from the club’s tour of the US after it became clear the Parisian hadn’t been obeying rules set by the club. As you’d expect the media and fans alike generated an inordinate amount of garbage about his future and Klopp has since cleared the air:

“He missed the departure of the plane, he missed a session and then was late for a meal,” Klopp said, according to the Liverpool Echo.

“I have to build a group here, I have to start anew, so I thought it maybe made sense that he flew home to Liverpool and after eight days, when we come back, we can talk about it.

“But it’s not that serious. It is how I said: we have some rules and we have to respect them. If somebody doesn’t respect it, or somebody gives me the feeling he is not respecting it, then I have to react, that’s all.”

However, despite Liverpool’s very own manager saying that the offences committed are not condemning there are continuing reports that Sakho will leave this summer. Roma is the destination which is being reported as being his next club. Sakho’s agent has come out to further clear any doubt surrounding Sakho’s future.

His agent, Niakate Housseyni told LaRoma24.it:

“I’ve not had any contact with Roma. He’s a Liverpool player and I don’t think Roma have any chance [of signing him] at the moment.”

Sakho has experienced a turbulent career with Liverpool so far and it will be down to him to work hard and sort out all the issues that keep cropping up.
