With Sadio Mané’s signing confirmed, the hub-hub will die down for awhile. Here is what our new player has to say about his transfer.
In an exclusive interview with LFCTV, the forward spoke of his joy at joining the club and how he intends to make the most of it:
“I knew Liverpool were interested in me,” he said,” I had some [other] opportunities, but I think for me this is the right club, the right coach and the right moment to change.
“I am very happy to be a part of Liverpool Football Club.
“He [Klopp] said he wanted me to come to play for Liverpool. I didn’t even have to ask myself, I said straight away ‘yes, I am interested’ because I know Liverpool.
“I am convinced Liverpool are the right club for me with the right coach.”
It is highly likely that one of the primary motives for his transfer was to play under Jürgen Klopp. With Liverpool not playing in Europe this season, Liverpool are unable to offer their players the chance to play in the Champions League.
Mané even said as much. That’s the Klopp effect.
