Jurgen Klopp is interested in former player, Ivan Perišić but the Italian club are not looking to sell.
Liverpool’s search for quality attackers continues with Croatian international, Perišić being linked with a move to Anfield. The winger has had a highly impressive tournament in France with Croatia most notably when he tore Spain apart with a brilliant left-footed shot.
Liverpool have been linked with Sadio Mané for most of the off-season so far and while it seems as though Liverpool are very keen on the Senegalese international, Perišić may be just what Liverpool need.
The Croatian offers something very different to Southampton’s standout player for the 2015/16 season. While Mané may provide blistering pace for his team, Perišić offers something far more rare – a strong football brain. Inter Milan’s number 44 is a player blessed with the uncommon ability to make the correct decision almost every time.
It is so frustrating having a player who consistently makes bad choices on and off the ball. Raheem Sterling is a perfect example of this. The Jamaican born Englishman is blessed with a rapid turn of foot and terrific natural ability but struggles to make the correct decisions to capitalize on his talent. For this reason a player with a footballing brain, who can make decisions in nanoseconds has the potential to influence a game or even a season, trumps those who can beat another over ten yards.

This is what you get when you sign Ivan Perišić. Croatia’s group stage performances could be summed up by heroics like winners from Modric or Perišić but it would be more correct to say that players who made the correct decisions at key points was crucial for Croatia.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in acquiring his services. Firstly, I’m not entirely convinced that Liverpool are interested in the Croatian but I am almost positive that Barcelona aren’t. Also, Klopp had a falling out with Perišić during their time together at Dortmund so the likelihood of this reunion being likely is, well, unlikely.
Another player linked with Liverpool, who I am sure you are tired of hearing of is Mario Götze and he may off to rivals, Arsenal.
The German was tipped highly to rejoin Jürgen Klopp and fulfill some sort of fairy-tale prophecy but the versatile midfielder snubbed Liverpool in favour of hacking it out for a starting place at the Allianz Arena.
Nothing to get excited about here folks. Just the usual media garbage.
