According to reports Liverpool’s transfer negotiations have stalled with Udinese and it seems unlikely that Piotr Zieliński will be a Liverpool player next season.
It is being reported that the move is set to fall through due to a poor relationship between Liverpool and Udinese. Jerome Sinclair has made a transfer to Watford and share owners with Udinese; the Pozzo family.
According to Mondo Udinese and Jonathan Green of the Daily Star, Liverpool are due compensation from Watford despite Jerome Sinclair’s contract expiring as the winger is under 24.
“Sinclair is joining the Hornets at the start of July after his contract with Liverpool expires,” added Green. “However, the Reds are due compensation [for] Sinclair as he is under 24 and the amount is set to be decided by a tribunal after they failed to agree a fee with Watford.”
Liverpool would do well to secure Zieliński’s signature considering how difficult it is going to be.
According to Whoscored.com, the 21-year old has scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists. He made an average of 2.1 tackle and completed 2.5 dribbles s per game. He was superb at Empoli during his loan spell where he operated as a traditional central midfielder.
His strengths lie in setting the tempo for his teammates as well as spreading the play. His incredible vision is only matched by his ability to dribble away from opponents. Liverpool can sign Zieliński as long as they don’t lose interest as a result of the shenanigans with Udinese’s owners.
