Skrtel’s agent has said that it is 90% sure that the Slovakian will leave Liverpool. The latest rumours are that he could be headed to either China or Middlesbrough.

The Chinese Super Super League is hiring, and certainly have been for some time. The number of big name players that have headed off to China is staggering. While not necessarily being a big name player, as such, Skrtel could find himself on his way to Shanghai SIPG.

Sven – Göran Eriksson is the current manager and with Skrtel’s career on the wane it seems he could follow past players and make some extra money in the last few years of his career.

It is likely that Eriksson as the financial spending power to meet Liverpool’s £6 million valuation of Skrtel. It is also possible that his weekly wage of £75,000 could be matched as well. This is a move that would benefit Liverpool greatly while it would mean a definite knock as far as quality of football is concerned for Skrtel.

The good news for Skrtel is that a Premier League club is interested in acquiring his services. It would seem that newly-promoted Middlesbrough are ready to bid £6 million. The bad news for Skrtel is that it is unlikely that they will pay his wage of £75,000-a-week.

It is going to come to a point where Skrtel needs to choose between Premier League football and the standard of football that is guaranteed or the money that can be earned in China.
