Out of favour Martin Skrtel is “90% sure to leave” according to agent, reports the Metro.

Liverpool began the season with Brendan Rodgers as manager and Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho as the centre-half pairing. The season ended with Jürgen Klopp at the helm and Dejan Lovren paired with 35 year old, Kolo Toure.

There have been links for a few weeks saying the Slovakian well be at Beşiktaş next season. Skrtel’s agent rubbished these claims.

“It’s complete nonsense, he has not signed any contract with Besiktas. I’ve even talked with Martin about another club,” Csonto told TV Markiz in Slovakia.

“Besiktas is one of those interested in Martin, but we’re haven’t reached a point where I can confirm Martin is going there, or anywhere else.

“But I can say that it is 90% sure Martin will leave Liverpool, but it is far from closed.”

Skrtel is 31 years old and is at a point where sitting on the bench will do nothing for a career. As poor as he has been in recent months it’s difficult to forget how he fought his way back into the side in the 2013/14 season and was a colossus.

He has also scored many goals for Liverpool. According to Squawka.com in the 2013/14 season he only scored 2 goals less than Benteke this season in the Premier League.

Farewell, Martin – you crazy man.
