Loris Karius will become Liverpool’s second signing of the summer transfer window on July 1st. The German goalkeeper will wear the number 1 on his kit.
The 22 year-old signed his contract at Melwood on Tuesday afternoon. He passed a medical before conducting the famous ‘Melwood Lean.’
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is delighted with the signing, especially the timeliness it was conducted with.
He told Liverpoolfc.com: “I am delighted we have signed Loris, he has had a fantastic season with Mainz and has developed into a very good goalkeeper since his return to Germany
“I am really pleased that we were able to move so quickly to get him and that Loris showed such a desire to come to Liverpool with a lot of other clubs interested in him.
